Now you have incorporated the app into your corporate wellness program here is how to help your employees get started and make progress.
In General: REMEMBER - Most of us know the basics required to have reasonably good health. The thing is, the KNOWING does not often directly translate into the DOING. So take Nike’s advice and JUST DO IT. Take a moment to decide what aspects of the app would be of most benefit to you. Using your Wellness 2019 app you can…
Stretch, mobilize or massage (pressure point) tight or sore muscles
Follow along to a variety of guided relaxation exercises (with headphones or ear buds)
Schedule in reminders to drink water, go for a short walk
Based on the experience of others who have had the most positive experience using this app, we recommend that during the first two weeks of you:
More Specifically: Getting into new habits and integrating those habits into daily life, like using the Wellness 2019 app can be challenging for many people. Here are a few tips to help you engage with the app.
Make it fun! Some ideas include
Make some times with a work colleague to do some of the exercises together. This works well with muscle tension relieving exercises for a social interaction, but you could also agree with 2 or more colleagues that you will do a relaxation at a certain time together.
Set yourself a reward for participation. Two interactions/exercises a day = ?? Perhaps a little sweet treat or whatever seems appropriate for you.
Set the bar low and start small. Many of us beat ourselves up for not meeting our targets. Don’t give up if you have a bad day or week.
Try different things and work out times that suit you best. The app is designed to allow you to do the exercises anywhere anytime. Find what works best for you.
Lastly: The term Wellness can sound a bit vague. Our Wellness app simply provides you with some tools and activities that will help you to lower physical and mental stress, and in general help you feel better.
Something to remember when doing something new - If you always do what you have always done you will always get what you always got.
