Now you have incorporated the app into your corporate wellness program here is how to help your employees get started and make progress.
In General: REMEMBER - Most of us know the basics required to have reasonably good health. The thing is, the KNOWING does not often directly translate into the DOING. So take Nike’s advice and JUST DO IT. Take a moment to decide what aspects of the app would be of most benefit to you. Using your Wellness 2019 app you can…
Stretch, mobilize or massage (pressure point) tight or sore muscles
Follow along to a variety of guided relaxation exercises (with headphones or ear buds)
Schedule in reminders to drink water, go for a short walk
Based on the experience of others who have had the most positive experience using this app, we recommend that during the first two weeks of you:
More Specifically: Getting into new habits and integrating those habits into daily life, like using the Wellness 2019 app can be challenging for many people. Here are a few tips to help you engage with the app.
Make it fun! Some ideas include
Make some times with a work colleague to do some of the exercises together. This works well with muscle tension relieving exercises for a social interaction, but you could also agree with 2 or more colleagues that you will do a relaxation at a certain time together.
Set yourself a reward for participation. Two interactions/exercises a day = ?? Perhaps a little sweet treat or whatever seems appropriate for you.
Set the bar low and start small. Many of us beat ourselves up for not meeting our targets. Don’t give up if you have a bad day or week.
Try different things and work out times that suit you best. The app is designed to allow you to do the exercises anywhere anytime. Find what works best for you.
Lastly: The term Wellness can sound a bit vague. Our Wellness app simply provides you with some tools and activities that will help you to lower physical and mental stress, and in general help you feel better.
Something to remember when doing something new - If you always do what you have always done you will always get what you always got.
It is generally accepted that Australian secondary schools offer high quality learning and excellent pathways to tertiary education. It is also true that stress and anxiety are often experienced by many secondary students leading up to their exam time, and also as major projects and assignments are due.
This stress can result in lowered cognitive performance, impaired short term memory, trouble sleeping and a whole host of related psycho-social dysfunction which makes it more difficult for students to perform at their best.
C.O.P.E Apps can boost your schools “Wellness Program” significantly, quickly and efficiently with high quality apps that assist with alleviating mental stress that builds from work/study activities plus physical discomfort often experienced from sitting at a desk for extended periods of time.
The “Enterprise Wellness” version of our app is a B2B app which can be accessed through the volume purchase program for apple and android devices, which schools can readily access. The app can be trialed for free by 500 participants or more and integrates the best of C.O.P.E Apps B2C apps (used by thousands of people worldwide) Study Support and Mind Body Stress Relief.
Assist Teachers and Students with the same app: We believe our apps are very well suited for teachers and for students alike. It is widely reported in the media that teachers are burning out from their heavy workloads leaving the profession after only 4 – 5 years. Parents seem to have higher expectations of teachers these days, there are a lot more children with learning issues, there are lots of tests, lots of reporting and extra administrative work. All of this has obviously created extra stress and resulted in the early departure of many talented teachers.
The Proposition: After initial consultation a C.O.P.E Apps representative would come and present an information session on how to use the app going through the tools like the relaxation exercises, the mobilizations and the analytics.
The Opportunity: There are many opportunities to further development of this generic app for your school. It can be branded as your very own schools Wellness & Mindfulness App – providing Teachers and students alike with tools to improve their “Wellness and Mindfulness”. After the trial period students and teachers can provide feedback into what they found to be most useful and these aspects of the app can be developed further essentially creating an app specific to the needs of your school.
Leadership: Be a leader in the field of assisted stress relief and gather your own data on the benefits accrued through student’s outcomes relative to the academic performance. C.O.P.E apps can incorporate memory and study techniques into their apps as well as gamification, data analysis of various kinds and “positive psychology” exercises which have demonstrated quite exciting results from a range of studies.
After School Activities - Study techniques: Many students are looking at ways to boost their academic performance. We provide ongoing support to students through regular after school workshops helping students get a better understanding of memory techniques and stress reduction.
English Speaking Schools around the world can also benefit from our Apps

There is a huge opportunity for all types of gyms and fitness and leisure centers to add value to membership and benefit their members in a super cost efficient way through the use of high quality apps.
An app can be used by members ANYWHERE ANYTIME. This is a huge advantage. I am not talking about a cheap app that allows you to book a haircut or pizza delivery (or a gym session) but an app that assists gym members who often suffer from muscular aches and pains and stress. An app with hi-end 3D graphics, great user interface and excellent functionality including analytics. An app that can be branded with the gyms logos and colors making it their own and fine-tuned to meet the business and their member’s specific needs.
I have been working in the health and fitness sector for over 30 years. After my training as a professional dancer, I needed some part time income so I started out teaching aqua-aerobics and aerobics classes. I moved on to teaching different styles of aerobics like Hi-Lo and Tai-Bo, and had fun keeping fit. Later I moved into teaching Pilates and Yoga and now relaxation techniques including various styles of meditation.
Instructors like myself spend our time on a small stage demonstrating exercises to a group of people in the room in front of us and the sad reality is that probably way over 50% of gym members that would like to attend the classes we teach cannot do so for a multitude of reasons including:
For those of us in the tech area of Health & Fitness it is obvious that tech like apps and soon platforms like VR will complement traditional Group Fitness more and more. So get ahead of the game and give your members exercises and tools to assist them in a variety of health related ways VIA an app they can put on their phone or tablet and use ANYWHERE ANYTIME.
At C.O.P.E Apps we understand that business managers may be skeptical so we have an easy way for you to discover how much value your members will place on our high quality apps. We offer every member of your facility a free trial of our generic Wellness Support App which they can opt in for and can download straight to their phone. You just have to let all members know it’s available.
So boost your Health & Wellness program significantly. Take a leadership role in this area offering the latest tech and gather valuable data regarding the interest within your membership for apps like mine that can be used anywhere – anytime to reduce their muscular and mental stress. From my experience you will be making this app your own in years to come. Contact us for more information, and a free trial of our Wellness Support app.
The word Wellness has permeated its way into modern culture. For many it is an “airy fairy” word that doesn’t really mean anything! That’s not so surprising when so many companies “Wellness Programs” consist solely of a bowl of fruit. Even if this does meet some general criteria of Wellness it’s seems a bit lame, and what is wellness anyway.
The World Health Organisation defines Wellness as “…a state of complete physical, mental, and social well being, and not merely the absence of physical disease or infirmity.” Wellness in the workplace according to Wikipedia is any workplace health promotion activity or organizational policy designed to support healthy behavior in the workplace and to improve health outcomes. Dimensions to Wellness include:
Physical Wellness: The care we take of our body for good health and functioning.
Emotional Wellness: Our ability to understand & deal with positive and negative emotions.
Psychological Wellness: To view self and others in complex, stable and accurate ways.
Social Wellness: The relationships we have and how we interact with others.
I am breaking a very complex idea down to fairly simple components and don’t profess to be able to get into all the intricacies and components of our overall health and wellness but I think this is a good starting point.
Employers in most OECD countries are bound by law to manage a safe environment for their workers. Combine this with the premise that a happy and safe worker is a more productive worker, who takes less sick days, can focus well on their tasks, get on well with their colleagues and you have the basis to formulate a “Health & Safety” and perhaps a “Wellness Program” to fit your workforce.
So what could an effective Wellness Program for so many of us working in front of a computer for 6 hours or more a day look like? It would need to mitigate the risks to the employees from the negative impacts of their work activities right? Ideally it would also seek to improve the physical, emotional, psychological and Social wellness of employees.
Is 1 extra piece of fruit going to help you with your sore back, from 6-8 hours of computer work a day, or lower your stress levels from an intensive week of work, or perhaps long commutes in and out of work in rush hour traffic?
Our solution is our Enterprise Support App, with exercises to alleviate physical tension, and relaxation exercises to lower stress levels and improve focus. Downloaded to you phone, always there when you need it, done at a time convenient to you. With lots of pertinent information about everything you need to know contained in the app. Cost effective, simple and convenient, check it out - contact us to get your free trial.

Pro-Activities: These help to assist a healthy body and mind. Drinking a glass of water and moving from your desk to walk short distances regularly are two of the simplest most effective ways to boost your mood and productivity.

We are here to help! here to edit.
Here at cope apps we believe it is time to fully embrace the many benefits of mobile platforms, which is why we have moved into the area of offering high quality Enterprise Apps. Unchain yourself from the desk top computer and licenced software with all the ensuing hassles of I.T. security, internet access ports and program compatibility. It has never been easier for us as providers and you as businesses to deploy effective mobile apps to your employees. Your business can get tools and resources to transform your mobile workforce with enterprise-class apps, distributed seamlessly and securely within your organisation. Once your employees have those most pertinent and useful apps on their own mobile device they have the flexibility of anytime, anywhere accessibility.
It has been well documented that with the right Enterprise apps you can increase productivity, provide more comprehensive customer service and make better and faster business decisions. CRM (Customer Relationship apps) ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and BI (Business Intelligence) apps to name just a few. Productivity can be viewed from several perspectives, and at COPE apps we view productivity through the lens of how your worker is feeling body and mind. It is not rocket science to understand that a stressed, anxious or tense employee won’t be particularly productive, and that’s where we come in.
We provide employees with tools that they can use anywhere anytime (at work or otherwise) to lower stress; mental and physical, to make them feel better. The end result is a more focused and less stressed more productive employee.
Let’s look at a business who wants to improve the wellbeing and productivity of their workers and do a cost comparison. $3,000 will give 100 employees an app with tools that they can use anywhere anytime 365 days of the year. $3000 will give about 20 employees 1 Pilates/Yoga exercise class per week (assuming you have a space to do it) for a year. You don’t have to be a mathematician to work out that 100 people could only get the benefit of 1 hour of Pilates every 5 weeks! One hour in 5 weeks verses any time anywhere!
Don’t get me wrong – I am a Pilates instructor and a Yoga and meditation instructor and know the benefit these classes provide, but I also know that for businesses there is a more productive and cost effective way to deliver tools to help alleviate mental and physical stress, and that is through our App Office Professional Support. It is very exciting to have our first client, that being the prestigious Melbourne University. In 2016 a pro-active team leader at Melbourne University was looking to offer some extra support her team in a cost effect and efficient way. After some research she found that an App could deliver many positive benefits and she came across C.O.P.E apps Office Worker Support. It had the tools to assist her team with alleviating the unwanted physical discomfort associated with working in front of a computer all day. C.O.P.E apps also addressed minimising the mental stress that could build up in a busy work environment. She liked what she saw and because she understood the benefits inherent in taking care of her team she went ahead with the process of getting the app to her team.
I believe we are at the cusp of using technology efficiently to assist medium to large businesses help their employees COPE better in an office environment where staff spend 6 – 8 hours in front of a computer performing various work tasks.
Here are some commonly held well researched beliefs circulating in the media.
YES employers want their employees to be healthy happy and productive. Go to many large employers’ buildings and you will see that they have a small gym and regular classes run for their employees, and do you think this helps the majority of their employees. The answer is NO. Most don’t use it and the gym caters for a tiny number of employees.
